PRP for Pore Reduction

Enlarged pores are usually formed due to a build up of sebum (the body’s natural moisturising oils) and dirt under the skin. Aging also affects the skin’s elasticity, and over the years, pores can be ‘stretched’ out, making them appear larger. Individuals who have been exposed to the sun may also have the appearance of larger pores.

Microneedling with PRP has been shown to help reduce the appearance of stretched pores through boosting collagen production, thus increasing the elasticity and ‘fullness’ of the skin and reducing pore size.

*The new cell growth in your skin generated by the Platelet Rich Plasma takes weeks to months, which is why it looks so much better after more time passes. Botox and other filler treatments break down with time, but the Platelet Rich Plasma lasts and looks better as long as 18 months to two years.
